I have always "loved to make things" and through a birthday present from my wife, started turning wood. Realizing there was a better way than doing all the tool sharpening all the time, I developed a line of carbide tipped woodturning tools.
Now, after many years in the research and development of "Simple Woodturning Tools" and accessories, I am retiring to my lake home to enjoy a quieter time of life.
I am fortunate to have a brand new shop for woodturning and am enjoying designing, creating and turning new ideas, including resin and hybrid bowls. My entire family has gotten interested in turning and my son and daughter have taken over Simple Woodturning Tools and I am enjoying time turning and teaching my grandchildren the fun of turning for a hobby.
My wife has always been a graphic designer and enjoys getting into the details and finishing of some of my pieces. So, when I'm not driving my jetski and pulling the grandkids on tubes and kneeboards, you'll find me in the shop coming up with new ideas for turning wooden bowls that are unique and "one of a kind".
